How does the RENEW cartridge recycling mailer work?

The RENEW cartridge recycling mailer is a cartridge exchange and recycling service by mail. Your exchange your empty cartridge for a full one, and we recycle your empty cartridge. In addition, the full cartridge you receive back is a recycled (or remanufactured) cartridge.

When the cartridge in your printer runs out of ink, you simply place it in a RENEW recycling mailer and then drop the mailer in a mail box or give it to a postal carrier. We pay for the postage. The cartridge mailer is delivered to us and we exchange your empty cartridge for a full cartridge, and mail the full one back to you. We recyle the empty cartridge.

You can expect to receive a fully RENEWED, and ready to use, cartridge within 6-10 days from the day you mail your empty cartridge.

RENEW works with various organziations across the country. These organizations are responsible for the distribution of the RENEW cartridge recycling mailers, and their sales help support the financial needs of their organization. What cartridges can be recycled through the RENEW cartridge recycling mailer?

The RENEW cartridge recycling mailer offers you the opportunity to recycle over 200 different inkjet cartridges. You can use it to exchange and recycle inkjet cartridges manufactured by Hewlett Packard (HP), Lexmark, Dell, Epson, and many others. What do you do with my empty cartridge?

We try to recycle each and every cartridge we receive in to an again useable cartridge, one that could go back in to a printer and print a few hundred more pages. Unfortunately, not all cartridges can be recycled. Some arrive to us damaged or worn out. When we receive such cartridges we work with our recycling partners to have the cartridges ground down and reused in other plastic based materials.

How long will it take for me to receive my recycled cartridge?

You can expect to receive a fully RENEWED, and ready to use, cartridge within 6-10 days from the day you mail your empty cartridge to us. We exchange your cartridge within minutes of receiving it at our warehouse and mail it back to you the same day we receive it.

What should I do if my RENEW mailer gets lost in the mail?

Unfortunately, packages sent through the United States Postal Service (USPS) are occasionally lost or delayed. We take every precaution we can to keep these things from happening, but sometimes they do. In cases where your RENEW mailer is lost we will replace the mailer (not the cartridge). We operate on a receive - recycle basis, and do not stock replacement cartridges.

What should I do if I am having trouble with my RENEWED cartridge?

Although we strive for it, not all RENEWED cartridges are defect free. Because of this we offer a one (1) year warranty on all RENEW recycled cartridges.
